The next LoveSexyDC Prince Dance Party is Sunday 1/18/09

Yes, that IS the day before MLK Holiday and the weekend of the Inaugural Hoopla in town.

The theme is "Paint the White House Purple with Prince & his True Funk Soldiers"
(music by Prince and his funky friends and favorites: James Brown, Sly Stone, The Time, George Clinton, etc.)

We anticipate all details being the same as our previous Chief Ike's parties:
- no cover
- DJ Dane spinning the tunes
- great drink specials
- doors open at 9:00pm until ?*
- no dress code
- cool raffle prizes for $1-per-chance tickets
- 21 & over - ID required

*We are checking on the closing time -- we usually end at 1:00am and mosttimes go past that a half-hour or so -- we'll see for this one - but I'm thinking we may go until the Dawn.

- The Norm will be MCing the night
- Visuals by NP Productions
- great drink specials
- doors open at 9:00pm - we go until 2:00am
- no dress code
- cool raffle prizes for $1-per-chance tickets
- 21 & over - ID required
- Chief Ike's kitchen WILL be open during the party and selling pizza

Parking in Adams Morgan will be bad - nothing new in that - PLEASE CARPOOL if you can

You can also bike, walk, bus, taxi, or metro

The closest metro is Columbia Heights - then walk 3 blocks to
Chief Ike's at 1725 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC.
The BIG problem is metro STILL closes at 12 midnight on Sunday and has no signs of changing their minds - so if coming by metro, you'll need to leave by 11:30 or arrange another way to get home

Several bus lines run nearby - go to www.wmata.com to plan your trip
Most of the downtown buses run until 3am - make sure to have exact change or your SmartCard loaded up
