Hi everyone. I found this website not long ago and to be honest didn't really expect that there would be anything going on in Edinburgh. I'd be happy to join you for future events but what I need is dancing  I listen to Prince's music nearly every day anyway but I can't really dance in my small flat.
I live in Edinburgh, near the city center. I am looking from quite a while for some place to dance, not only to Prince but also some other related music, but all I found so far are just silly classes with learning of sequences and stuff and I just want to do it for fun. Thanks a lot Regards Mau | |

http://www.princeboatparty.com/ just to alert everyone that i'll be djing at barbarellas boat party in london on 7th november. there is a 2 tier boat sailing down the thames with a prince tribute band playing 2 sets (the same band that carex mentioned, who played the irish party when the dublin gig was cancelled), and afterwards there is an afterparty in a club venue till 3am the link to the org thread is above. spread the word. tickets are available at the above site, but hurry as they are going fast | |

BARBARELLA'S BOAT PARTY - LONDON FRIDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2008
PRE PARTY MEETUP - from 6pm - QUEEN ELIZABETH BAR, Festival Pier VENUE 1 - MV Pridela, FESTIVAL PEIR, LONDON - The boat party with Prince tribute band Purple Rain BOARDING TIMES 7.45pm to 8pm - the boat will leave the pier at 8pm sharp and won't return to the pier until midnite, the boat will not make any stops between 8pm and midnite whilst it sails up and down the Thames. It's advisible that everyone is ready to board at Festival pier by 7.40pm at the latest, so you can be quickly whisked onto the love boat. It's suggested that you meet your friends at the pre meetup venue across from the pier, which starts at 6pm. No admission to the boat will be possible after 8pm, unless you carry an olympic gold medal for swimming, or you are licensed to kill and can provide formal evidence. The closest tube stop to the pier is Waterloo station. VENUE 2 - THIRD SPACE - 211 Clapham Road, Stockwell - The afterparty, with DJ's and Prince videos TIMES midnite to 3am The closest tube stop to the afterparty is Stockwell station, across from the venue. ----- Further details - tickets are on sale now, from the following website www.princeboatparty.com - £25 each the ticket price includes free admission to the afterparty venue from 12am-3am there will be 2 dj's playing on both the boat and the afterparty venue Purple Rain will play two sets of approximately one hour each in length - two hours in all there will be a giant video screen showing rare Prince videos at the afterparty venue more details to be confirmed shortly... Prince is not expected to attend, but if he sends me an PM I'll see about adding him to the guestlist. This event is completely unnoficial and has no ties to Prince, any of his companies, or any of the fansites or fan organisations, although everyone is invited and welcome to attend. | |
