PURPLE RAIN

Oh mygod. I am still in shock and amazement of how BRILLIANT that tribute band were.
My cousin wants them at her wedding. She is not engaged or even got a man but she needs an excuse to hire them.
I didn't think tribute bands like that existed. They were so musically tight. Truly on point and in spirit of prince. Not in a tacky takin the piss way.
Their rendition of the beautiful ones was outstanding. I could go on ad on but really u should have been there.
Get of and sexy mf were so close to the originals and everyone was going mad dancing.
If u guys are reading this then u should be well proud. U rock.

Agreed - about 100 x Better than I was imagining!! Girlfriend and I had a great night (apart from the ridiculous Dublin drinks prices - i daren't even add up what I spent!) and it did help ease the pain of the cancellation. We'll be keeping an eye out for Purple Rain in future. I've got some pretty good photo's but they are on the girlfriends camera. I'll stick em up when I get a chance!

Purple rain were absolutely marvellous. Almost the entire "Purple Rain" album and a lot of other classics like "Mountains" and "Endorphinmachine". It was absolutely worth to come to Dublin for that show. Thank you guys! @HighFashion: Were you the couple from Leeds that were sitting on the same table with us (2 guys from germany)?

One word...BRILLIANT!!!!!

We(myself and jeffs) must of looked like a right pair of plonky's drinking wine out of the bottle!!. We didn't want to miss anything standing at the bar ordering drinks by the glass..
I was totally blown away and it was worth the journey to Dublin. I found the people lovely and even the staff were pleasant and helpful.

We had photos taken by a chap who was just going round with a camera and he did say the pics will be put on the sin bar website. Anyone seen them yet?.

My ears are still buzzing and now for the come down...

Till next year or until someone can arrange another meetup

Hi Savage, Sorry you didn't go, it was brill. The pub meet was a bit of a let down, not many people there. The ones who were there were lovely people and managed to say hi to most.

If you hear of any tours from any tributes or any fan meet ups, keep us posted and we'll see you there!!!

WHAT A GREAT NIGHT!!

The Big Tree was a bit quiet (music wasn't bad though - they had PFUnk!) but it was a chilled place to have a few pints in, and meet Jeffiner, Paisley1710, Mikey, I Would Die For You (lovely lady), and Barbera (looking hot in her shiny dress!) and the little lad in his custom made Prince t-shirt! Also Alan & Lorraine from South Shields, and others from Austria & Germany.

The Sin Bar was not overpriced for drinks as we thought it was gonna be (although the 'concessionary' 15 euro entrance did subsidise!) In true Prince style, Purple Rain made us wait - but man, it was worth it! They gave us a great night and over by the RHS speaker stack everyone was getting into the spirit, dancing & singing away (IWDFY, you're still ringing in my ears!)

Purple Rain played for over 2 1/2 hours - they enjoyed it as much as we did. Jimi & the band were also decent guys to talk to after the show.

Thanx 2 Barbarella who we met in 'Abrakebebra' at about 3am!
then we'll try to imagine... what silence looks like

I've already posted thanks to Purple Rain and Barbarella last night - but can I just say .. the band are so awesome PLEASE get that website up and running fast .. we've got to party like that again!

It was def the next best thing to being there - I need to know when they are touring, especially OOP NORTH!
Perhaps we can tie it in with the proposed Manchester meet up?

Jimi and band - please tell us you're heading up the M6 !!!
