oh no blackbob, how would you have felt if the concert was on, and you couldnt get on the flight!! Thats too bad.
We just got back from Dublin, we had a fun time, had a ball at the sin club, the tribute band were really great, I wasnt gonna go coz i was feeling so sad but im glad i did now, it definatly helped!Suffering now though with a huge hangover but well worth it, anyway back to bed for me! Thanks to everyone who organised it.

well i thought the turn out firstly at the big -tree pub was very sad maybe 20 people, anyway when asked for 30 euro to enter a tiny club called sin to watch some dude try to be prince, well it was the final straw for me after being told at the big tree if you brought your prince tickets it would be frree entry, the whole experience has left a nasty taste in the mouth, after 24 years of prince devotion i think its time to call it a day and move on, how expensive is dublin! blah home to sexy belfast....

Jesus, did someone really tell you that it would be free?? I didn't hear that anywhere. How would they pay the band? I think Barbarella put up a pdf that said a concession, which was 5 off the normal 20 quid, not 30 per person, 15 per person. Pretty fair.

(ahem, sexy Belfast... ?...)

I thought it was fantastic! And well worth 15 quid! Fair play to the guys for coming over. Pity Big Tree was very quiet, understandable I spose if everyone decided to head out later to Sin. Needed a place for the parents to meet up. I got to meet a few very nice people, so I'm still glad I went.

And to be honest, I think moaning about anything to do with yesterday is pretty shit (considering a few of us tried really hard to organise some fun for people who were stuck). Bad taste, that was Prince, not the price of beer and not the fact you had to pay actual money for the band to turn up.

Now back to reality.

And now I'm going to start looking forward to a few gigs by some other artists for a change wink

Thanks everyone for making the night really great. Sorry about the Big Tree but we were running really late yesterday sad

Hi to the (very) few people myself and Annie met. Wish I'd felt braver to introduce myself to more of you but I'd probably only have talked a load of crap anyway!

Thanks to Jimi and the band. You guys (and girl) were excellent! And hi to Billy and Lisa! And you other two from Leeds (names escape me, sorry!).

Well I can't say I recommend traveling and flying with the mother of all hangovers. I was really hammered last night. That Guinness is evil! Got to sleep at 3am!

Anyway the depression is bad. Really gutted that He didn't turn up! So much money spent and so much excitement built up. It's horrible idolising someone so much sad

Didn't get many photos and the vids of the band I took on my phone aren't great either. But I have the memories at least wink

dont take it personal , i think they might pay the band with the money for over priced drinks , any way i walked in had a look at the band , seen all these crazy people taking photos of the band lol and walked right out, it was just the icing on the cake for me, thanx prince the whole thing was a complete waste of my time, taking days of work, my money wasted on trains 72 pounds not to mention my hotel and worst of all holding your loyal fans to ransom , taking us for granted. thanx to all who tried to make things better in dublin.

you know when i got to the big tree and seen croke park it was such a downer for me then to walk into a very empty big tree pub where no-one introduced them selves was such a let down i met 3 orgers who i introduced my self too who where a very informative bill plus chip and his friend who were very nice too, i guess the rest of the day would only go one way, down hill! went straight to sin bar arrived 9 pm the band had just taken to the stage and the doorman let me in to have a peak, who was i trying to kid was this purple rain band (who looked the part) gonna make me feel better NO! We left and went back to my hotel, the whole sorry thing cost me about 400 pounds not including my tickets for 24 hrs in dublin, im not having a swipe at any one, im prince mad and nothing can compare. this would have been my 7th prince concert(have never been to an aftershow and all in the uk,

Sorry blue, I was at the big tree and it was a strange atmosphere. Because the place was near empty and i wasn't sure who was and wasn't a fan, it was difficult. I had a sullen daughter to contend with as we got there at 4pm and although I met up with some lovely people there, I wish I had met up with you too.

That is if I didn't. What were u wearing???

YAYYYYY!!!!!.. Another one already!!. Count me there.

I know of meet ups in Manchester and london but I'm not sure on what scale they will be on. What I mean is, with childcare and hotels booked, are these meetups as good as the bear and the boatparty nights?.
