New York X-Mas Get 2gether Plan!!!! OK....as U all know, X-Mas is coming fast and I'd like 2 have another gathering before the holidays.
The thought I have in mind is perhaps renting out a party room so we can party...uninterupted with my fellow NYers, especially the under 21's that felt left out at our previous gatherings. If possible, make it a Pot-Luck...so every1 is involved with the food. Might be able 2 get a DJ 2 play all Prince related music, but if this is not possible (it is the Holidays) we can just hook up my IPod 2 the sound system. (There's plenty on it 2 party for 17 days....LOL) MY goal is 2 get this done by Dec. 15th but whenever possible. Any suggestions for a hall will be surely considered, and any help will be appreciated. Peace&BeWild

PurpleJedi said: Sounds great. But...being as how the Holidays are usually very hectic for people...I don't know that December is such a good time for something like this. Anyway...it does sound like a great idea. How's about getting a Hall in Queens instead? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Count me in! I live in NY so lets org each other to make it happen. Can we rent out a club ? Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead.
Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either. Just leave me the hell alone

Sorry...I'm a Long Island boy. I do know of a hall in Queens (I know the owner professionally) but I've never been there so can't vouch for quality or anything. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

A Queens party for a Prince?
There are no cool clubs in Queens. That's not true, but Queens is so far out. Kings County has quite a few nice places but why not meet centrally (NYC)? Make it easy for everyone. Renting this time of year is hard, so why not just meet at a nice lounge/club and occupy a portion of it? This way, it can be more flexible. There used to be a few nice ones on Spring Street. This stop: If there's a large enough crowd, the DJ/club owner, might agree to add Prince to the mix. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

I gotta agreed about the distance to Queens. I'm coming from Central Jersey and getting into Manhattan is a nice trip already.
We really need to get a decent size group together. There is a consistent group of about 6 of us, with another 4 coming occasionally. I know that many of the gatherings haven't been under-21 friendly, but the response has been very poor for this weekend's gathering and for the one suggested for the 15th. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
