I just got off the phone with the School Of Rock. This is what I had up my sleeve and had been waiting the last few weeks to announce, but couldn't until all the details were set! This is why we are meeting August 2 and not one of the other nights. These kids are SERIOUS musicians and are ready to blow us away with a show full of Purple Rain covers and genuine rock-n-roll fierceness. We have arranged a pre-movie concert by them -- so take off work early and get your butts over to downtown Silver Spring for this rare opportunity!

4:00-6:00 pm - Concert and Dinner/Happy Hour at Austin Grill
6:00-7:00 pm - Dessert at the AFI Cafe with Prince tunes including the new "Planet Earth" album

Concert: Join us at 4:00pm at the Austin Grill on Ellsworth around the corner from the AFI. We have a big table reserved for our group but you MUST RSVP to Laserblast@aol.com by 8/1 to get a seat. The place is FULLY BOOKED and this show is going to be crazy crowded.

In addition to Purple Rain selections, they will grind out some Spinal Tap movie soundtrack choices also. There is a RUMOR that Morris Day will be there -- again a RUMOR.
