There is a hampton right down the street from me and a whole bunch will be here to share rooms... Ill update the guest list and hotel info after the coffee kicks in.

Also, the nearest airport is ONT best for international would be LAX but the shuttles are pricey from there... where from ONT it is far more resonable... like 25.00.

Ill formalize all that later....

Can I just throw a couple suggestions out?

1) Please---lets not do any Disney/Chain restaurant nights...I would like to experience something new for a chance.

2) Do we have to do touristy stuff? One of my fav invasion moments was checking out the cuban ghetto in miami (what was is called?)...anyhoo, there's got to be fun stuff like that near LA. Let's get creative...

but most importantly

3) Lets not over due the schedule...I want to meet and chat with folks...not drive around and site see all day.

that is all...love me or hate me for my suggestions but lube me up either way.

Heres the deal, people are arriving thursday night and then again on Fri at various times.... as you recall my front door flys open every few minutes... people in all directions.... Sat is all planned out and of course Sunday has a closing brunch.... We are really out of time to travel to much.....
There is an amazing park with a pond next to the house which will provide for a great change of scenery a decent hike I as a resident am also entitled to save the date with the city and have a veranda.....

Is that appealing for friday folks?

Open note to everyone:

The number one complaint I have had with past events is not enough time to sit around and talk and really dig in with people.....
Earlier in event history we would pack in events and that had its place as many were internationals.... but this one is a perfect oppertunity to dig in and really get to know people.

This house is really set up for just that.... I have put in the most comfortable furniture in the world and there are 3 seperate furniture set ups out in the back... the mornings and evenings should be spectaculer..... one of my favorites is morning... everyone gathers with coffee and tea to the backyard and pulls chairs from every direction..... Its quieter and just great conversations....



P@R usually ends up in the kitchen and the guestroom usually is filled with another conversation.... etc....

That said i am open to whatever people feel is going to make it for them....

Any suggestions?

umm...i don't know...my arrival will depend on the Congressman's schedule. I would like to fly in on Friday though so that I can visit a couple supporters who I have been hoping to reconnect with.

Although i am not going i would say keep it to the house. I know when i get back home my biggest regret is always having had less time out to just talk to people.

You will all have a great time and Karen is such a great hostess. Really wish I was going.
