I have been having the worst week ever. I had to get my taxes done today and when I went to this one place, they told me I owed the government some cash. After all the money Uncle Sam takes out of my checks, I wasn't about to give him anymore, so I went to another tax preparation store and while my tax preparer was doing all the numbers, I kept hearing Prince coming from somewhere behind her. At first, I thought it was a radio station just playing a Prince song, but it was "Sign O' The Times" and I've never heard any radio station here play that song. I kept trying to look under the desk to see where it was coming from, without being noticed. Then, "When Doves Cry" came on and that's when I knew, "She's a Prince fan!" The whole time while I'm searching for the music source, I'm just bobbing my head to the beat and she looks at me and says, "I see you bobbing your head over there." I told her I was a Prince fan and she asked me if I had seen him at the Superbowl. I told her that I had missed the Superbowl, because I had to work that night, but I had seen it on youtube. Then. she started jokingly calling me a bad Prince fan when I told her that I also missed him on the Grammys (again because of work , night jobs really suck). She was mad cool and she also got me double money back which makes her one of the most awesome people I've met in a long time. She made a awful week a little bit better. Just wanted to share.

I found out last Friday that my college roommate from last year was a Prince fan and she understood perfectly what I was talking about when I said how much I'm into him and admire him. We spent 10 minutes talking about him and occasionally sighing, saying that he's so cute, and so talented and the list goes on and on.

If there's anything better than finding out that one of your best friends is a Prince fan, it's finding out that she truly sees how incredible he is the same way that I do.
