Originally from Minneapolis, I would go to a lot of P's late night Paisley Park parties during the Gold Experience...Exodus. ..Beautiful Experience...whateve r you wanna call them, they were the Days Of Wild! Since then I've moved on to FL and now recently Seattle. As I think about those times, I realized it wasn't just the 3 AM shows in the Park sound stage with only a couple dozen other ppl there while he was jammin on stage to his oldies, expiremental sounds (The War) and covers I never woulda thought I'd hear from him (Still The One); it was the feeling of being around a group of others that didn't care about the latest trends or how much you made or what life's critics said. While the rest of the Land O' 10,000 Lakes slept, we - all colors, races, creeds, etc - were there just livin life to a funky soundtrack. As much as it was nice seeing him out of his shell and in his own element laughing, joking & dancing, it was more than that that made those 7 AM bedtimes all worth it. I wanna get a group of ppl together that all wanna step out of the rat race, if only for a bit, to talk about P, his music...whatever. SeaTown, 3rd finger down, if you're wild make a sound!
