Savage & I wanna start by saying what an absolutely funking amazing time we had - as the pics show. A million & 1 thanks 2 Linda & Craig - U guys did a fantastic job and we loved every minute. And an extra special thanku 2 U both 4 awarding me the prize of funkiest dancer - U can rest assured the voucher will be spent on something Princely!
So, here goes the shout outs: Natisse - it was so lovely 2C U again, we R gutted U will be gone by September so U must keep us posted on your tour of America - Shelley - it was lovely 2 meet U, nice 2C some people representing the South at these events. Alice aka Susannah! - wonderful 2 C U again, I hope U R feeling better and R preparing yourself for September - we want your photographic skills 4 our party! Scotsman1999 - always a pleasure. By the way, how's the hamstring? Savage is always relieved when he sees U in attendance - he struggles 2 match my "energetic" dancing! Zaara - U R a sweetie & always brighten up these parties with your amazing prince inspired outfits - you have 7 months 2 come up with a Peach & Black 1 for September! ScarlettP - gorgeous as ever - it was so lovely 2 meet U and so much fun dancing with some1 who loves the princely 1 as much as I do - how spooky about the ring? We must stay in touch. Muirdo - U R the man - I am so happy 2 finally have met U - it made our night. Keep in touch. Electrostarr & Ellieadore - U 2 R so lucky - Las Vegas & then a Prince party! It was lovely 2C U 2 again, and 2 hear about your visit 2C the man himself - U 2 R a beautiful couple & U must come in September. Blackbob - U made it! Yay. Me & Savage loved talking with U. And 2 any1 I have forgotten - much love. And 2 any1 who wasn't there? U missed out big style - shame on U. But U R lucky - because this year there isn't just 1 party, but 2! So 4 all of those who missed out - U better get your asses 2 mine & Savage's party in Manchester 15th September - it will be a Sign O' The Times fest so Peach & Black is obligatory! More details will be announced soon! I must go now as I am still recovering from dancing like a wild thing. Peace Kat & Savage x x [Edited 2/12/07 7:18am] [Edited 2/12/07 7:22am]

What a great night! Was good to meet with people old and new. Have some great picture and videos to post. I'll make a start on the pictures soon and will leave the video contribution to Jon.
Sorry we did not make it to breakfast on Sunday but we have had too many late nights. Friday night it was 4am and Saturday night it was 5am (we decided the night was so much fun an aftershow was needed) Am too tired to gather my thoughts but here is a for everyone.

At the risk of cliche, what a wonderful night!
Huge thanks to the organisers, Craig and Linda, for putting it all together and showing the kind of design flair that puts Colin and Justin to shame! I've spent so long as a lone Prince fan, and I had to pinch myself halfway through - was I really surrounded by other fans, in my home city, dancing to Prince all night?? I can't express what that means to me after twenty years of hardcore fandom. Seriously. Some of the photographs are fantastic (aren't candid ones always the best!). My own are yet to be posted, but I think the night has been very well documented by others. I took alot in Manchester, and this time just decided to focus on chatting and dancing. It was good to see new faces this time, as opposed to the haggard old ones I normally have to cope with. I should have bitten the purple bullet and approached groups of random strangers, I know, but I found I was happy enough with the strange people I knew already. Muirdo - I thought you were a work of fiction after that initial drunken meeting in Edinburgh, but thanks for coming - you came across as a thoroughly decent chap, and the foresight of bringing those DVDs (official ones of course, ahem!) was especially appreciated. I'm glad you appear to have gotten home okay. Natisse - Will you be my fairy org-mother? We had some contact on the night, but the magical mystery tour of Glasgow the next day was my first real chance to chat with you, and your warmth of character is remarkable. It's pretty obvious why you are so loved on this site. Number 23 (with his band of merry men) - We share a true appreciation of music, and that's pretty rare in my book. You're a scholar, a gent and lots of things I can't begin to spell. Thanks for the glitter as well. Very Marc Bolan. Zaara - A dynamo on the dance floor, and someone without whom the night just wouldn't be the same. Your lust for Prince is only overshadowed by your lust for alcohol. I appreciate that kind of thing. Savage and Kat - You two go together like peaches and cream, vodka and coke, Prince and skin tight lycra. You're THAT good. To come up was a tremendous effort, and I only wish I'd socialised a little more with you. You are the life and soul of Prince events, and long may you reign. p.s. I'm wearing hotpants in Manchester, so watch out Kat. Electrostar and Ellieadore - Another very cute couple. It was so nice to meet you Ellie, even if I don't actually know what your real name is. lol. Next time you go on about how close you were to Prince, remind me to cover my ears and walk away before I spend the rest of the evening seething with unbridled jealousy. Sam - A pleasure to meet you, and to share Bob George. You're almost as much of a Prince fan as I am. Who'd have thought anyone else could compete? Susannah (or is it just Alice now??) - An ever-present, a symbol of all that is good about the proud Scots nation. It's a shame you over-did it the night before and had to leave early. But that's the Scottishness shining through (i.e. a binge drinker). I'm proud of you. The next day made up for the early departure and more, I think. Gemma and Shelley - As friends of Susannah and Natisse respectively, a big congratulations on exposing yourselves to the funk. The road is long, but you will reach the Dawn. The Lovers - You know who you are. To anyone else I've missed, it's only because I was dancing/drinking/scratching myself. But everyone made the night. I'm so glad I'm a Prince fan, and so pleased that he's made it possible to share good times with good people. "I'm much too hot to be cool"

The dj called this morning, and since i didnt get a chance to thank him for his hard work on the night (how wrecked was i), i shall do it now. I think he did really well especially since he only knew the hits and a few other songs. Thank u soo much! Also if anyone needs a dj for there private party or event i think u should consider using him (he promises not to use MJ next time hehe ps.. that was my bad)
Thank U 2 everyone who came, especially those travelling massive distances, i tried my hardest to make it worthwhile, im especially proud of Fuzzy D who basically travelled through England, Wales and Scotland to get here. Thank U 2 Kat N Paul who inspired me 2 hold this event, i now have a calendar counting down the days to the next prince party in Manchester (15th Sept y'all), although i should be in Manchester b4 that this year. If anyone needs any help settin up there own event anywhere in the UK i'd be glad to help them out so just hollar. Oh and we have tons of pics.... i may put some up on the org, some on myspace and perhaps bebo.. links to which i will post when its sorted! Im glad for all ur positive responses thank u so much

thanks to funkybrotha for putting the night together...maybe one of these days i will get to one of these things on time???.....well done, mate
arrived about midnight and went straight to the bar where i stayed for the rest of the night (had one or two dances !)..i was with about 6 others , mostly just casual fans but they enjoyed it....only managed to speak to savage and his lovely girlfriend, kat...good to see you two again...see you in manchester.... spoke to zaara...pissed as a fart but great fun ... scotsman...good to have a wee chinwag with you...made sure i didnt dance when you were doing your thing...!!! and had a wee word with muirdo at the bar as we battled to get a drink at the bar with only one guy serving ....good to see you ,muirdo.. thought it was a good venue, i wasnt that impressed with the choice of music....dont understand why obsure 10 minute mixes of his songs are getting played one after the other and the casual prince fans or non fans start to leave because they cant get into it?? surely his big hits or his killer dance songs should be played every second track or so and not play his obscure tracks one after the other..... i heard the extended version of 'sexy dancer'. the little known 'sex me baby, sex me not' then a mix of 'come on' that even i had never heard...people were leaving the party in numbers at that point and i think a better choice of music would have kept the party bouncing along!!! just my little moan ...c u all next time

Hello Mr. Blackbob.
It was a pleasure to speak more than a couple of words with you at last. Cheers for buying me a drink, it was nothing personal that I didn't buy you one back, I do that to all my mates. My social circle is becoming a dot as a result. Next time I might find some change amongst my pocket lint - I'll get you a packet of crisps or something. Roll on September, eh!! the song choices were all mine, i decided to include rare tracks and extended versions simply because we've all heard raspberry beret up loud b4 and i thought playing obscure tracks would at least add a bit of colour!
we did manage to play all his greatest hits however, plus literally all the best tracks from the 93-97 period! ps, that version of Come On is like the standard remix version of the song, its on the maxi single, he also played this version live on jay leno
