KEY WEST INVASION 2008 - Testing the Waters.... 
Click Above Image to Go to the web page for the Invasion No definitive plans. Not looking for commitments at this point. Just throwing the idea out to everyone. The best months for the keys (to me) is mid March to mid April. Some of the best times I've had in my life have been in Key West. Key West essentially is a small town at the southernmost Florida Key with such a laid back attitude that all the public clocks are deliberately set to the wrong hour on Duval Street (the main strip on Key West). Some activities may be: 1) Snorkling with Nurse Sharks. This can be done directly off the coast of one of the naval bases. You dont' always see the sharks, but you'll definately see some lobster and possibly barracuda. 2) A visit to the Hemmingway House 3) Photo Op at the Southern Most Point 4) A vibrant bar atmosphere at Night 5) A historical walking tour of the town (roughly an hour long) 6) Either a nice dinner at one of the seafood restaurants, or a bonfire/barbeque at the beach just after sunset. 
7) snorkling, kayaking, or just walking around historical Ft. Jefferson (pictures on the picture link above). Anyways, just testing the water on this one. Won't know for sure until after the Miami South Beach invasion. . [Edited 11/19/06 20:16pm] | |
