Yes yes yes Purple one
I am an older P fan from OZ, living in London, I agree there should be more gatherings in Oz. It is 10 years since the Electric Man was Down Under playing gigs, he needs 2 come back... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm an Aussie working in Singapore.
I'm not holding my breath on him appearing in Oz again (and definitely not in Singapore), but am hoping to make a trip to the US if he has another week-long festival in 2003. There is or was an Australian Prince fan club, called 7 or Seven. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

Hi,
There are a few of us on here from time to time. I live in Canberra and have been following Prince since his 1999 album. I think the only way we will get a tour here is if he also does Japan as a stopp over. The D&P tour was added on here because he was already going to be in Japan and of course it all depends on the Australian dollar. I don't know of any Australian club, but that would be a good idea.

Sorry, I did a quick search but couldn't find anything. I haven't heard anything about it for a couple of years, but it used to look quite well established, with a professional-looking web-site and newsletters. Australia is still a long way from Japan! They share the same time-zone but it's a lot further than Europe to America. I was lucky to see him play at the first Melbourne concert. Especially lucky because I'd only become a fan about six months earlier, via friends who switched me with Parade, Lovesexy, Around the World and SOTT. I remember he performed a song using the lyrics of both It and Thieves in the Temple, and the performance was fantastic. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

I have a bootleg of one of the Melbourne shows, edited 2 just 60mins or so,where Rosie sang Chain Of Fools, the Aretha Franklin song.the quality isnt the best but the show itself sounds wild, dunno what date it was tho. Guess we'll just have 2 wait & c hey,if he comes here. luvpeace&bwild, Joshy ***************************************************************************************

Guess we'll just have 2 wait & c hey,if he comes here. I can't recall if Rosie sang that at the first concert or not. I have at home a tape of the first concert, but it's not the full show. At least it includes that ace version of It/Thieves. I had the full show on another recording, but my brother taped over it saying something like "you didn't want that did you? It sounded like crap!" (referring to the sound quality) Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.
