Phew..what a wonderful weekend.
I'd like to think I've made some real friends in the last year and a half through events such as this - and it makes me feel so good about being a Prince fan.

From playing air guitar as a kid alone in my bedroom, to playing air guitar in a club packed with fans. Who would have thought..

To Kat and Savage, you know how appreciative I am of you two. I didn't know you that well before Friday, but if I'm ever in Manchester again for work purposes I'd like to buy you a drink. Something cheap but powerful.

You've both made me achieve great things in my life, like win dance competitions and give Prince flyers to drag queens outside Manchester clubs. I could never repay you, but I'll try..

Zaara and Susannah, thanks for keeping me awake on the drive, and I'm sorry if I've transmitted any viruses to you. I had a cold, I mean.

Roll calls are dangerous in case I miss anyone and am forever damned, but nice to see such luminaries as Number23 and his pretty partner, the Paisley shirted Bal, the walking Prince encyclopedia known as Metalorange and the effervescent Camille (loved the outfit by the way!!).

Blackbob - I will at some point get the chance to say more than two words to you. Other than 'hello' and 'goodbye'. Let's say, next year?

DJ Le Freak - I can't understand him, and he can't understand me. But we both understand funk, and that's what really matters. Thanks for keeping my prizes safe, and not attempting to do some 'scatching' with my Fury 12" picture disc.

Funkybrotha - As debonair as Fred Astaire, yet later as drunk as a skunk, I salute your ability to remain composed under alcoholic pressure.
And your moll, Linda, for keeping you lucid by flicking your ear on an intermittent basis.

To everyone else who managed to avoid my flailing limbs on the dancefloor, thanks for being there and it was really nice to get the award for best dancer..but I think Electrostar deserves a mention. My friend, you were ON FIRE out there. Well certainly flammable with the amount of drinking you did.

To CarrieMPLS, you're a wonderful ambassador for the states, let alone Minneapolis. I'm not saying this just to be nice to you.

Enjoy your trip around the world JD - I trust you will be teaching the natives of Papua New Guinea how to funk? I thought as much, you rascal.

It was also really nice to speak to some new faces - Skipper, Gingerfuzzy1 (sp?), AllieUK and WendyRachel. Thanks for all the compliments, and if you didn't actually give me any then you have a few months to think of some.

And finally, the two new Prince disciples from Southport..Jonathan and that other tall bloke. It was great to meet you (Carrie shoved a flyer in my hand at the sight of a Prince T-shirt and ordered, "Go over there and give him this!")..
It was funny to see you at the Madhouse stall, like kiddies at a sweet shop, hehe.. You have to let me know how Kim was.. And yes, you CAN funk to IT.

I loved the weekend, so many wonderful memories that I will always treasure...and bring on the next event!

Hey se7en - hows it going????? The pictures are fab arent they? theres loads with Dave Tony and you boogying in the background and a goodun of you sat down recovering he he he!!! None of me on there yet though - not embabrressed myself yet then!!! Tony looks like he had a good time - Daves still raving on about it - I am as well ha!!

Hello from sheffield!
I've only a moment to pop in and say THANKS to savage and all who made this happen. Such a truly wonderful party!! I had the best time ever.
All the pics are fabulous, though I wish I didn't look so damn sweaty and have a silly face in every single picture.
When I get home and have time I'll send proper thanks to all of you. I couldn't have happened upon a more fun and welcoming group of people.

As for my time after the party, I've been spending way too much money shopping and I'm off for a day trip to York tomorrow. Thanks, all, for your suggestions on this too.
