It was a very good party, Savage and Kat did a great job indeed, especially considering it is probably a lot harder to get people to go to Manchester than it is to get them to go to the bright lights of London, proved it could be done. Good to catch up with those I have met before and a few new ones, the only thing I hate about these things is finding out afterwards all the people I never talked to but would liked to have done! If it wasn't so geeky we should have name-tags or something - how about somewhere people can post in pics of their faces next time? Make it easier to recognise people!

Music was excellent of course, trouble was finding a tune to sit out on and get my energy back from dancing, not had chance to go out so much recently so felt very out of condition!

Will definately be there at the next one, hopefully this time I'll be able to book a room and do the whole weekend experience rather than ducking out early, force-marching my way upto the train station and just barely catching the late train home!

Ah, I thought you weren't there late on!

You're right, I cant believe how many people were there I didnt speak to, I think we must've been quite cliquey boxed

I wouldn't worry, I don't think it's about being cliquey...I felt I could easily talk to anybody I wanted to but just ended up hanging with my crowd and my bottles of wine!! It's just the way it goes. Agreed though, it could have been easier recognising more faces.

However, my gf was accosted in the toilets and was given a lecture on what a true Prince fan is by somebody. THAT is cliquey. These lectures aren't necessary - we're all in it for our own reasons. cool

I didnt get to speak to that many people but did get to meet some of you - was too busy enjoying the company I was with and the wonderful music etc which isnt cliquey - its what you do on a normal nite out isnt it?? maybe next year we should do what someone else has mentioned on here - wear name badges!!!geek wink lol

I posted this on the other thread:

Thank you Savage and Kat. That was such a great party, and the fact that the venue looked so good and the night went so well is a testament to how much hard work you must have put in. Well done.

Thank you also to DJ Le Freak for playing those funky tunes all night.

To all of you that I met and had the pleasure of drinking and chatting with (there are so many to name and I don't want to miss anyone out) thank you and see you at the next one.

Great pics. Keep them coming. thumbs up!

Hi all. Had 2 go back 2 work 2day so my head is still a bit fuddled after Saturday night, but I just wanted 2 echo what Savage has already posted from us and say a HUGE thank you 2 everyone who helped us make this party the funkiest event of 2006. In particular I would like 2 thank Freedom and London1 for all of their help, support and advice - couldn't have done it without u!

DJLeFreak - no DJ is funkier than u!

Madhouse - Thanku 4 coming and making the night complete.

Cammille - Thanks 4 your PR skills

Andy - Thank u 4 blowing up the balloons - both helium and manual!

Susannah - Thank u 4 taking so many amazing pictures - wish I could have danced with u more.

And thank u 2 all of the purple party people who shook their asses for 6 hours straight - u guys were amazing and made it all worthwhile.

As I said my head is still fuddled so I won't go on too long (Savage is the 1 with the words!) I'll just finish with three words IT WAS FUNKY!

Much love, peace ane positivty.

Kat and Savage

P.S I'm on the boat in 2008 - Are U?
