Before 10pm Buzz Bar is open as a little restaurant with some great food and there are some tables and chairs. But that's where we are all getting our groove on for most of the night.

WWPD tonight kicks off at 10pm and runs until 2am. Me and a handful of others will be at Buzz in and around 10pm.

Hey motor babies ...

Just a quick note of thanks to all who came out on the warm and humid and rainy night to party with all your fellow motor babies at Buzz Bar, 546 E. Larned, in the heart of Motown and in the shadows of the RenCen. DJ Ben was slammin' once again and did something special -- he spun an assortment of old skool vibe with classic Prince and associated artist joints. He dusted off all the old 12-inches and it was like living in the past, in the heyday of the early 1980s here in Motown. Full 12-inch remixes/extended joints of Sex Shooter, Love or $, Sexy Dancer, Kiss, Controversy, 777-9311 -- some of these joints that I have not heard in quite some time. Much love to DJ Ben for another beautiful night for us detroit crawlers, to the wait staff and bartenders and to Adam. Even though the Princely vizuals were not on the big screen, it seemed that ESPN Sportscenter highlights went right with the music. I swear!

So nice to see everyone -- some of our regulars (what's up Traci, Lori, Willyum, Frank, and Terry), some of our regulars who we have not seen in a while (hey Chenoa, Adonis, TorJuan) and some new faces (hi brocklynn). It's funny when you get asked in the club what's your Prince.Org name.

Crawl T-shirt status -- voting went very well last night at Buzz and final results will be posted in the next few days on the final design we are going to use for our first-ever club tshirt. Props and pounds to all who voted. If you have not seen what the shirts might look like, check this link out -- http://www.thedetroitcraw..._ideas.pdf . Once the design is selected, the printers will start producing the shirts. We are working on a very economical price (money will go back to production of the shirts and the other half will go into the Detroit Crawl fund for future club use)) but some of you have said you are willing to pay up to $20 and $25 a shirt. Well, it will not be that much. We'll let you know when the shirts are ready and when you can order your own! We are targeting to have them available right before the next Buzz night out with The Crawl on Saturday, Sept. 23.

We did not want the music to end and we all thank DJ Ben for spinning a fe more joints past 2am. Wasn't it cool that everyone was in unison singing the last few verses at the end of How Come U Don't Call Me? So, cool. C-O-O-L. ...
