wow - not long now folks - its been touch and go for us to make it but so far so good..
looking forward to meeting you guys - be easy on us - this is our first Prince nite... 
ps got 2 bottles of vino chilling in the fridge ready for a few cheeky pre party drinks at the hotel

Carrie, I'm SO impressed that you're flying out to blighty - that deserves RESPECT!!
I might be Scottish but I'll buy you a drink. This only happens during solar eclipses, the passing of Haley's comet or major lapses of concentration on my part..so that gives you some indication of how impressed I am. I've had three hours of sleep as I was out with my manager and a colleague in Glasgow last night, and we went to somewhere called Buffalo Joes - suffice to say my Prince fandom is well known in the company I work for, and they were bugging the DJ to play Prince. She did it once with 'Kiss'..and then "To stop this guy in front of me from bugging me any more", she played '1999'. It was rocking! Only about fifty folk there, but I did my bit to draw attention to Prince (and, inadvertently, myself!!)..and got a mild ripple of applause from a few folk around me. Others choked on their beer, muttered "Who's that loose limbed w****r?" or generally feigned disinterest. But did I care? Do I EVER care when it comes to Prince? Nope. And may it ever be so. The funk cannot be repressed. It cannot be shamed. It rules my brain and my body. Amen. "I'm much too hot to be cool" | |

I'm quite excited. I've been to Manchester once before and looking forward to a long weekend there and some more touring about northern england.
