Friendly people in the midwest, very difficult to find vegetarian food (other than certain pockets) but steaks and BBQ everywhere. that's what I think of too. Sorry, but you're both wrong! I think you're confusing the Midwest with the Plains states. It's generally considered a fact that Michigan is one of the primary Midwestern states. The ones in solid red are ALWAYS considered Midwestern, the others are occasionally included. Check this out... http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ted_States

We may be wrong geographically, but emotionally I'll always feel part of a special area in the States. The Great Lakes are so magnificant they should get their very own title ~ well, we are called the Great Lakes Region now that I think of it. Music is the language of the spirit. I was tripping out when I was on the plane coming out and I was watching the landscape and it is so different than LA. All you see here as you descend on the plane is just city as far as the eye can see. I saw little lakes and fields and trees and then some buildings and then more water and more trees and then more buildings and finally saw civilization when we taxiid in towards the airport. Michigan is beatiful and I recently had a conversation with someone who misses nature as part of their daily life and after being on that lake and just surrounded by such beautiful trees and such, I could totally identify with what someone would miss about that. Being a city boy you have to search that stuff out and I know when I see that lake again I will feel totally at home 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

No. I have been through the flat dusty lands and Michigan aint nothing like that! There were lots of corn feds there but don't mix them up with corn fields. I know it's easy to do since you wanna sink your teeth into both but one cob you definitely can chomp on over and over and over 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I didn't get it. Then he said "this is the only place where you can see so much sky." I hadn't thought about that. Hell, I still don't appreciate it much, but sometimes I can see what he meant.
