So, I will now. I agree with Apples ~ when I hear us referred to as "the midwest" I'm always confused ~ like, where are they talkin about? It feels very "North County" here. Especially when you start getting more into the "thumb" area of Michigan and above where the pine trees and lakes are so rich and beautiful.

Me too Apples ~ I feel a strong kinship with Chicago but when I think of the "midwest" I think of hundreds of miles of corn fields and dust, flat lands, little water. Friendly people in the midwest, very difficult to find vegetarian food (other than certain pockets) but steaks and BBQ everywhere.
