DETROIT CRAWL SPLASHPARTY!!!!!  ! Contrary to what you have heard or been led to believe, the semi-annual DETROIT CRAWL SPLASHPARTY IS GOING DOWN Y'ALL!
Save the date, Saturday, August 12, 2006,  Kensington MetroPark, off of beautiful I-96, 12noon-8pm
Here's the catch: email me (markusmom@aol.com), and I will let you know our exact location inside the park, for a mini-headcount. There is a car entry fee (like all MetroParks), which entitles you to (dare I say it) in and out access all day. We are praying for moderate temperatures. The park has grills, however, feel free to bring your own. Of course, bring your own food, meat and beverage and whatever Prince 'goodies' you may want to share/play/pass, etc. I hope to have some t-shirt samples to pass around so we can get a vote on a t-shirt design for the group. So, grab your suit, your tunes, your munchies, and we hope to see you on the 12th!

 UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!
The Detroit Crawl Splashparty  is almost upon us! Again, mark the date: Saturday, August 12th, from 12 Noon to 8pm. The location: KENSINGTON METROPARK, I-96 highway, exit 153 (Kent Lake Road). There is a $4 entry fee per car. We will be by the beach!  Martindale Beach area, which is just beyond the park entrance, and hang a left at the Martindale Beach sign and then park in the area to the right, and look for us at the end of the lot. There are 2 sets of restrooms  , plenty of tables, large area for volleyball, horseshoes, etc. Bring your own food, meat  , and beverage  . CHARCOAL, LIGHTER FLUID, PLATES, NAPKINS, SILVERWARE WILL BE PROVIDED!! Bring your Prince music, trades, etc. I encourage everyone to bring batteries, as there is no electrictiy at the park. Let's spend the day "picnicking with Prince". There is a farm for the kids, also paddleboat rental ($8hr) and canoe rental ($5hr). Bring your chairs/blankets, swim suits and suntan lotion!  You deserve a day to play in the sunshine!!  Hope to see YOU there!!!!!

It looks to be a beatiful day. Thank you fellow Motor Baby and funky weatherman Andrew for us to really play in the sunshine. Couldn't have requested a more gorgeous day for a funky bbq picnic.
See you all around noon until 8pm. Afterwards????? We get to vote on tshirt ideas for club members -- finally. We have been around for a little over 5 years now -- 'bout dang time right? | |
