We would like to thank everyone that came out to our 17th PRINCE vs MICHAEL event. BayNPG was representing hard as well as folks that frequent prince.org and housequake.com. Those of you who showed up early had the right idea. By midnight Madrone Lounge was at capacity and there was a line outside to get into the party. It was so packed that a lot of people didn't even get to make it up to the dj booth to cast their voting ballot. The vote count is as follows : Prince with 33 votes and Michael with 18 votes. When it came to music and crowd response though, we feel it was a tie for round 17. So many songs, so little time. We tried to squeeze in as much as we could but as usual we couldn't get to everything that we wanted to play. That is what is so great about these parties - each one is different and the song selection always varies. Songs that got the crowd hype - DMSR, Kiss (music video), Love Bizarre, Freeworld, Rasberry Beret, Let's Go Crazy, Housequake, ABC, I Want You Back, Bad, Don't Stop til You Get Enough, Man in the Mirror, PYT, Billy Jean and Thriller. Songs that we wanted to play but just couldn't fit in this time around - Gett Off, Another Lover, Screams of Passion, Hot Thing, Soft & Wet, Controversy, Jungle Love, Nasty, Another Part of Me, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Working Day and Night and Beat It. 5 hours just isn't enough time... we'll try to play those tracks at the next party. Once again the staff at the Madrone Lounge were very professional and kind to us. Thank you all and we hope to see you soon.

The party was great. And yes, it was very very very packed!!! It was so crowded that you could barely move on the dance floor! There was a group of ladies there for a bachelorette party and they were having a ball. There was a gang of people outside in line to get in but I just couldn’t see how even one more person could fit in! My and my friend had a lot of fun and the music was great. We loved it as usual and will be at the next one whenever that is! - Mrs Nelson
