since i cant go to the meet-up...

im having fun planning one for the future yes, i know, my imaginary world is a lovely place to be isnt it ????

the hotel that i think would be the best choice is the Embassy Suites

heres why...

* free drinks at the bar from 5-7
* swimming and hot tub for those interested
* each room has a private bedroom, with its own front living space... microwave, coffee pot, etc.
* free MADE TO ORDER hot breakfast in the morning... thats omlets, meats, waffles, BACON, whatever you want (a great cure for hangovers )


the location i would say would be the best is on the plaza.

its located on the plaza... thats great shopping, food, and bars (plus, its kinda a 'famous' place, at least around here )




plus, with the group that we are having, we would qualify for the meeting/ball room rental... im thinkin prince dance party im sure we could grab a DJ from someplace

I like Embassy Suites... (for pretty much all the reasons you stated). The rooms are REALLY nice size, separate bedrooms, all the extras...the lobby is usually decent as well, and the price is reasonable considering what you get. If Embassy Suites in New York City wasn't like $400 a night I'd stay there...

Oh, and I'm all for rollercoasters...

there are a lot of meet-ups happening in the near future, when do you think we could do this ??? i just dont want to be hanging out in kansas' hot ass weather walking through worlds of fun

it could be a lot of fun, and youre right, we have to make sure not to end up in the rain

one thing i didnt know you could do is to sign up a large group for worlds of fun and the tix are discounted like 15 dollars then it would be totally cool to do a T-shirt for the org for everyone to wear that day, easier to keep track of folks

Would changing the thread title help? We could rename it to mention the amusement park as an Org meet up idea. Hopefully we could get some folks intrested.

If there is too much stuff going on, we still could do it in the fall. They have the Halloween thing going on and its a really cool time for the hayride. Not to mention off-season pricing for the hotels and airfare before the holidays.

This is cool Hope we can work it out.

the hotel told me that as many as 6 people could stay in a room... there are 2 queen beds, and a fold out.... 6 seems like a lot to me, but if you could pull it off, that means your hotel fee would be 30 dollars at the most each night.... thats not to bad, is it ? dont forget, includes your 2 hours of free drinks, and your cooked to order breakfast


WORLDS OF FUN... group rates that include an all you can eat BBQ lunch comes to 29.95 each... thats not so bad, considering the normal cost to get into WOF is somewhere between 35 and 40 bucks each

i called this place about a hayride.. its a neat lil place, actually, my sister got married there... we had the whole family stay there for the weekend (i checked the price on that and that is waaaaay expensive, like, upwards of 1200 a night ) however, for the hayride, a bonfire they build for us, picnic tables, all the food for our group already out there for us, oh, and you CAN have beer with you.... comes to about 400 dollars and lasts 2-4 hours. even if we only had 20 people with us.... thats only 20 dollars... thats not too bad.

anyway, im just kickin ideas around, cuz, like i said, im bored as hell, and its either this, or UNPACK somemore boxes
