Gosh, what can I say? I am sure I will find the words here somehwere...

I'm finding myself rather upset to be home again, and that's saying a LOT. Usually at the end of these things and any vacation really, I'm ready to be away from people and back in my own home. Not so, this time around. Every time I attend (or organize) one of these things, it seemes to go better than the last. And this was no exception. I am continually amazed that people from all over the world get together over one small thing in common and find we have so much more. And have such a damn good time in the process.
The UK is a bit of a fairytale place for me. I adore it in so many ways. This trip in particular far surpassed my expectations. From the moment my plane hit the ground and I realized what nice flight I had (which is unusual for me, I'm often quite miserable) to the cute guy smiling at me on the tube after hours of traveling and I know I was looking rough, to catching up with old friends and making loads of new ones. I just wanht to say thanks to one and all who made this possible, or just had all the fun I did.

In no particular order...

PREDOMINANT - Wow! Thanks so much for all the work you put into organizing. I had a fabulous time. I feel like I barely talked to you, though. Next timem, I guess.

Toni & Simon - I cannot thank you enough for showing me such a good time in Birmingham. For everything from putting me up, to showing me all the little things I haven't seen on previous trips to just spending quiter moments with both of you was a real highlight for me. I hope I can extend the both of you the same hospitality in Minneapolis some day. Oh, and watch your mailbox. There'll be something in the post to you shortly.

Muse - My partner in crime, or at least in travel. You knew all along I'd make it, didn't you? I can't believe we did it again, and have so much more to follow. You continue to be one of my favorite people in the planet.

Gooey - I you, Goo. Thank you for the wonderful gifty, you sweetheart, you. I'm glad we got time to sneak away from everyone, even if it was just to run around all afternoon. Book your flight to Mpls any time.

Miguel - I you too! You are more adorable every time I see you. I'm lloking forward to meeting again in Seattle.

Red - You were exactly as I expected! I'm glad we got a chance to chat a bit. Maybe next time, we'll have more time.

Natisse - You're as much a doll in person as you are online, and that's saying a lot. Thanks again for dinner and making me feel so welcome so quickly.

AGCM - You wonderful woman, you! Good to see you again.

OneNiteAlone - You are just so incredibly adorable. You have the most deliciously yummy accent I thyink I've ever heard in my life. I"m so glad we met.

abierman - I'm not sure what I was expecting from you, but I'll just say I was pleasantly surprised. I'll talk music with you any day.

Savage - Nice to finally meet you. You're adorable and hilarious and always smartly dressed. I'll traipse about London in the middle of the night again with you any time.

mdiver - You're so cute!!! You have an amazing smile and sense of humour. Next time we'll have to chat more.

AndreC - You are the most adorable little italian I've ever met. I really enjoyed chatting with you for such a long time, though we were freezing. You'll have to come around more now.

ElectroStar - A;ways a pleasure, John. I have a feeling our paths will continue to cross. Till next time.

Luc and Monica - It was so good to see you both again. I'm glad we shared that crazy Birtish moment in the pub, Luc. And monica - you're still as sweet as ever.

MarySharon - Nice to see oyu again, though it seems I barely spoke to you.

Steadwood - Nice to meet you, troll man you.

TonyWilliams - You will forever be remembered by me as the guy who knew the most obscure Indie song about minneapolis. Talking with you that night was such a pleasure.

JD - We had fun, didn't we?


I really hope I didn't miss anybody.

I have you written down here, too.

I'm glad we got a chance to talk. It was quite surreal walking towards Buckingham Palace and realizing I was having the nicest conversation with THE BananaCologne. I know we were meant to meet far earlier, and I know we're meant to meet again. Next time, there are no excuses for slinking away early, though.

And thanks again for the gift for Darin and I. He's quite excited about it too.
