DetroitCrawl.Org Splash II:Soft 'n Wet July 14 Next Sunday (July 14) is the second annual Detroit Crawl Splash event at Rolling Hills Water Park in Ypsilanti, MI, off of US-23 and I-94 (Willis Road.) For those who want to attend, thedetroitcrawl.org staff request that you bring your own grillables (i.e. hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, veggie burgers) and plates and utensils and a dish to pass (potluck style.)
We will start the party at noon. When you pay at the gate, ask where the Prince party will be...the kind folks in the booth will give you directions to where the funk is. If Ricco does not bring himself and the NPG-mobile, then you might want to bring your own boom box and we'll hook up the funk promptly. For those who did not attend celebration, you will be able to hear the "Days of Wild" jam live in Montreal CD by Prince and da Band as well as other purple selections from the NPG Music Club and DJ Dredd out of our sister group in Washington D.C. There are separate fees to get into the park and water park. Daily admission for Washtenaw County residents is $3.00, while non-residents will have to pay $6.00. All require a photo ID with address to gain admission into Rolling Hills. Water park fees are separate -- 36 inches and under (free); all-day and after 5 pm rate is $5.00. The Park opens at 8 a.m. and closes at dusk...while the Water Park opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. For more information on the park, call Rolling Hills at 734-484-9655. For any questions or concerns, please contact us at staff@thedetroitcrawl.org Hope to see you all soft and wet... (heh heh) Don't forget your bathing/birthday suit and sun screen and pray for good weather (last year it was in the upper 90s!) ...thedetroitcrawl.org staff [This message was edited Sun Jul 7 20:28:53 PDT 2002 by applekisses]

Thanks to Mindy, TheDetroitCrawl, in the spirit of Love4OneAnother, will be participating in a food drive this Sunday, July 14, during the Splash II party at Rolling Hills Water Park in Ypsilanti. All non-perishable food items collected will be donated to First Step - Western Wayne County Project on Domestic Assault in Canton. They do lots of good work spreading care, hope, help and love to those in need. We ask those who are able to bring a non-perishable food item (a canned or dry/boxed item -- and not those refried beans or played-out Mac and Cheese that has been in your cupboard since the artist changed his name back to Prince...ha ha!)
See you all Sunday...84 degrees and Sunny...so says WDIV Channel 4/DetroitCrawl Funky WeatherMan (with the funky weather, man!) Andrew Humphrey...let's hold him to it! [This message was edited Tue Jul 9 20:51:50 PDT 2002 by applekisses]
