I have a question for the female orgers that go to meet ups-
How do you explain to your spouse & your family that you want to fly to another state to meet a bunch of strangers without sounding crazy? I mentioned to my husband and he thought I was a bit strange for wanting to go alone. He is not a Prince fan and I need to get away by myself for few days anyways.. I am a meetup virgin- any advice on how to reassure the family that I am not going to go meet strangers and never come back again?
I am so excited to meet the orgers on the list so far.. I cannot wait. I am going- I do not care how crazy they think I am. I went to my 1st & only Prince concert alone- I will go to Seattle alone.. | |

It helps, too, to show pics. . . makes the people, and the events, seem more "real". And makes it clear that people go to them and come back alive.
