Saturday 25th

ARM YOURSELF WITH A ONE DAY TRAVEL PASS, FOLKS...

Breakfast (for those up for it):
One of New York City's signature breakfasts is the bagel. New York City is filled with great bagels, and you'd be hard pressed to find two New Yorkers who agree about which bagel is the best. To make the most of your day in New York City, I highly recommend starting out at H and H Bagels at 80th Street and Broadway (212- 595-8003), because they offer great bagels, as well as the perfect location for beginning your day.
Getting There: With your MetroCard, take the 1 or 9 (red line) train to the 79th Street station. You'll walk one block north on Broadway and H & H Bagels is on the corner. Enjoy a bagel (everything, untoasted with cream cheese is my personal favorite) and coffee ($7 for two) while getting ready for a great day in New York City.

Morning:
a walk through Central Park at our leisure and then make our way over to Greenwich Village
*for those not up to breakfast meet the group at Johns Pizzeria for lunch at 12pm

Now that you're full, it's time to walk off some of that pizza with Anxy's wrecka store tour

Sunday 26th
10.30am - meet at the bottom of the Museum of Modern Art - click for prices details etc ...after which we'll have time for a last coffee/goodbye for those still about we'll work out what we want to do then

this may sound weird, but i will be in new york that weekend, but i don't know how much org invasion stuff i will be present for - i kinda need to have a big "me" weekend and spend some time with my old friends talking about stuff, and i'm planning on that weekend for a bit of escapist therapy, serious bonding and some time just sitting in cafes alone with my laptop.

though make no mistake - i DO wanna meet up with everyone! if there are any big plans for dancing or clubbing or whatnot, i wanna go - also, if we have enough people still interested, i'm very happy to keep on with the wrecka stow tour of the village.

Are there any locals I can crash with?

I just booked my flight! I fly out eve of 23rd and leave the 28th.

As I live in New York, I will definitely try to attend some things (dancing, record stores). Will probably skip the more "touristy" things.

As far as suggestions for Monday--I always love a good trip to the museums...
the Met, MoMA, Guggenheim to name a few. (And many are "pay what you wish admission.) If the museum where I work was open on Monday's I'd tell you to come there & I'd give you a tour...but it's closed on Mondays.

If anyone has questions about how to get from airports to hotels or traveling around NYC in general feel free to orgnote me. I can do my best to answer your questions.
