Saw this in Citypages today. Not sure if this is old news to anyone but the Lagoon Cinema in Uptown MN is having a special screening of Sign O' The Times on Saturday, November 5th at midnight.

fyi- the are actually screening Sign O' the Times at The Uptown Theater, not Lagoon.

I wonder if I can keep my old ass up to see this.

true. everyplace will pretty dang busy. i'm pretty sure that the Uptown Bar, although i do like it, will have some loud music going on, and sometimes their sound-system sounds like some crappy mikes hooked up to their dishwasher at 200 decibels. And I'm pretty sure that they will have a cover.
and i'm not sure, but i think the independent may have been pretentious enough to charge a cover on fri-sat nights. it would be a great place to meet up again though. i think that maybe Chang Mai Tai could work, they have that often empty back area with couches, and that could work pretty nice. since Eskomo is scoring beau-coup fam points, I will defer to any recommendations that she might make.
