Will there be any LA or SF gatherings in the New Year??

I wish. In L.A., it is getting harder to even get a Sunday for a Prince night.

The main complaint from the Club Owners is that they just don't make enough money at the bar. The Prince people just don't drink. I D.J.ed a Prince night in San Francisco a few years back and the promoter was very worried about the bar as well.

The Knitting Factory was approached bout an idea for a Sunday night Prince night and we had to make $1,500 at the bar or pay what was not covered. That scares me when in smaller venues we could not make $600.00 bar on a Friday night.

I try hard but tired of getting turned away and their are also a few other things I cannot mention but, god, I so want what Chicago has on the last Sunday of every month. Sigh.....
