Thanks for anyone for the great evening! I was nervous about coming without knowing anyone, but luckily i met so many great folks.
And sorry for not coming to Fingers... i somehow predicted that it wouldnt make the night any better, especially with me being broke and sober!

didn't see this thread and started my own, sorry just ignore that one, typical Monday morning thing.

Anyway it was great to meet/catch up with everyone.

Next time I will hopefully have more ££££'s to spend on hotels.

Great night, look forward to the next, need to save the cash first.

Hi to everyone, didnt get a chance to meet everyone but it was great being around so many Prince fans. Big thank you to Bal who organised everything and to unique who was a brilliant DJ as usual. Can we have another one soon please.
Also I am up for going to see the band on Saturday and to meet up before with folks. Also regular meet ups with other local Prince fans would be cool. See ya all again soon hopefully!

Just to echo everyone else, I had a great time.
This is despite my friends telling me to be careful because not only was I a Weegie in Edinburgh, but these people were strangers (shock horror!).
However, I knew Prince fans were a different breed and had no doubts about turning up.

The atmosphere at the venue was very comfortable and warm (temperature and otherwise!). I only knew Unique and Muirdo beforehand, but it was great to speak to everyone.

I've only danced to Prince in front of other fans twice in my life, so it was very surreal at times. Especially the 12" of Partyman - I've not danced to that outside my adolescent bedroom. The vinyl I have no longer has grooves!!

It was great to be in such a knowning environment, so different to the usual scenario: token Prince track comes on, I run from the floor/toilet/bar (whether it's my round or not), make brief ill-fated attempt to drag mates on, think sod it and dance frantically for five minutes whilst mates gawk at me from edge of the dance floor and random strangers point and giggle.

Well, this time there was no pointing.. Plus I didn't put anyone's eye out with the pendant - result.

Kudos to Metalorange and Camille for travelling over the border - I hope to do the same come October. Thanks to Ian and Witchhazel for helping me through the early stages of the night when everyone was looking around for symbols or other common insignia of Princeality.
Props to Unique and Bal for pulling the strings - good job.

So, aye, anyhow..thanks to everyone. Cue group hug.
