Fezz get together Last saturday I was in antisapation of the Prince fan get together.Without getting to negative i'll say this.Footloose,DancingQueen,and your the one that I love.All these were thrown into the mix.Me and my girl were so dissapointed.Not even the Heineken helped!!Left after 2 hours.I must admit the dj did play requests but the mix was so bad that one could'nt flow with it.Oh well.The build up was fun. | |

im with ya...i tried going twice and it SUCKED both times....how is it a prince get together when there aint one mention of prince....and the dj is just playing crap like "kiss" amd "get off" ????its a mostly hip hop, R&B vibe. i agree with u !!!!! | |

There was a lot of Prince played that night. Yall need to get off it. Tell me where else you can you go in New York that plays that much Prince in one night and take your request??!!
The other patrons of the club are not all Prince fans. They have to make everyone happy. The more you request the Josh will spin for you. You gonna sit on your ass and bitch about it yout not going to hear jack! Last month we practically only spinned Prince noize after the ONA show. Yall Prince fanatics need to stop being so fickle enjoy what you have, cause you know what? Its better then the nothing you had before... agreed. fez is all about a good time. josh is a good dj that entertains the non-prince fans as well. you guys are clearly outnumbered by non-prince fan folks that have never heard of stuff like "DMSR" or "Now" - so you have to almost sympathize with them... meanwhile be happy with what you get. now if we packed the place with just prince fans, i'm sure something can be arranged otherwise. but you have to respect other people as well and not be so self-involved when going into this party.
one of the great things about npny is that we work as a family... a unit that does not revolve solely around prince. but rather we are brought together by his works. inability to appreciate other forms of music along with prince is infantile. | |

Truly. If folks wanna have a Prince themed party, then ppl need to organize and SHOW UP in large numbers. Otherwise share the space, share the music.
