Eighties clothes and music is back in fashion and Prince & Michael Jackson
are back in the headlines. Years ago in '87 they were to appear together on
Michael's song "Bad" but it never materialized. Well here's your opportunity
to experience the ultimate tribute to both these superstars as Prince and
associated artists go toe-to-toe on the dance floor against Michael and the
Jackson family. Let's ignore the criminal allegations against Jackson,
especially since Prince has been bathed in enthusiastic praise of late.
Instead, let's talk about the music, since it wouldn't be much of a contest
if it were for the "Nicest Guy." This face-off promises to be a dance
marathon" "Controversy" takes a swing at "PYT (Pretty Young Thing)," only to
be pounded by "Wanna Be Starting Somethin," which had better watch it's back
when "Erotic City" comes around.

This event was conceived three years by Bomb Hip-Hop who have successfully
produced 5 of these parties in San Francisco. "As a concept for a DJ battle,
Prince vs. Michael is brilliant," writes SF Weekly's Hiya Swanhuyser. DJ's
Jeff Harris and Dave Paul will spin album cuts, remixes, rare tracks and
classics from their extensive record collections to battle it out on the
turntables. This dance party event features music from Prince, Michael, The
Time, The Jackson 5, Sheila E., Janet Jackson, Vanity 6 and many more. Who
will win, The Purple One or the King of Pop? Who cares... this is the
perfect night out to lounge with your friends, make some new friends, get
your drink on and dance your @ss off. Party starts early at 8pm so even if
you have to work the next day you have no excuse why you can't come early
and leave early... or stay late and get wild

Built in 1907, Cafe Du Nord it has maintained its Victorian period
interiors, featuring the original faux decorated paneling and wainscoting,
and a 40 foot hand carved mahogany bar. Details throughout the club hearken
back to its past life as a notorious speakeasy during Prohibition. Cafe Du
Nord provides some of the tastiest food in town - offering a full dinner
menu and bar food until 11:00 p.m.
