A REVIEW - KIP BLACKSHIRE IN PARIS / NPG PARTY 13 MARCH 2005

Were just about to check out of our hotel in Paris after a crazy weekend and thought we would write a quick review of what happened last night. firstly a big thank you to Raphy for organising a cool night of funk and LIVE music... we really appreciate it. We arrived at the Reservour club and thanks to the Schkopi pass got in first and didnt have to que for very long! the club was funky and Prince was jamming on the stereo... after a few drinks we were in for the first treat.. the guy playing the bass (sorry i forgot your name) was amazing.. he was slapping that bases ass soooo hard it was 2 funky! (and by the way my friend vicky who i was with is in love with you!) next up after a few more drinks Kips band hit the stage and burst in2 a Musicology jam which got every1 ready 4 what was 2 come. Kip Blackshire appeared and burst in2 a funky ass set (sorry i cant write a setlist i was drunk) he played alot of his own new material off his latest CD which by the way is REALLY GOOD. he played 2 sets and jammed 4 about 2 hours also covering sly and the family stone etc. anyway must get off 2 the airport now but a big hello 2 all the people we met..Raphy, the london girls, the guys i was dancing with 2 sexy dancer, Mary Sharon, wanted 2 meet u but u disappeared! Maybe next time. (by the way i was the guy in the black suit with the red shirt and a symbol round my neck).
