EVENT: Purplelectricity 5 ... Fri, Feb 18, Toronto, Canada Happy New Year all you purple hippies!
2004 was a purple one... The Musicology Tour was the #1 grossing tour, with 1.43 million people catching it, and pioneering Prince cleverly tying in the tour with his current album. For our home-viewing pleasure, Warner Home Video gave us new DVD versions of Purple Rain, Under the Cherry Moon, and Graffiti Bridge. And... the Purplelectricity Prince Party was born! Purple will continue to reign in 2005, and to get things started, Alliance Atlantis just released Sign O the Times on DVD. To celebrate this release, I'm pleased to announce the first Purplelectricity of 2005: Purplelectricity Prince Party Friday, February 18 Revival 783 College, Toronto doors at 9 p.m. $5 at door madame HAIR spinning, door prizes, rare projections, glam slam martinis http://www.purplelectricity.com Revival is renovating in January and the changes will make the place hipper. The post-Purplelectricity get-together, Starfish & Coffee, will probably take place again at 7 West Cafe (7 Charles St W, SW of Yonge & Bloor) from 2:30 a.m. until sunrise.
