UPDATE

Firstly we would like to thank Paul Savage for last weekend, giving his time showing us around that cold and windy city

Citywise looks doubtful in finding a place like the regular London venue:

The original hotel option with function rooms idea we didn't explore this to its full potential due to time available to us.

Manchester City seems to be a vibrant and happenning place during the weekends, most clubs are "working" to capacity and would have mo reason to give us a weekend space.

A number of options have been considered; this is where you can place your input and get involved, we could definately do this in the week i.e Tues, Wed, Thursday even a Sunday, how does this compare?

We have not been able to look at other options i.e. Ashton, Salford or any adjacent towns to the City where we could possibly get a venue to take over on a weekend.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Don't go to Ashton, I lived there for 8 years, it's a shit hole. 1 murder a month.

Yes it would be nice to have 1 further up north, has any1 looked at Sheffield yet?? ,,anyway failing that I , along with most peeps adore London, so it wouldnt be the end of the world to keep it there, and the venue is fine, 3 floors , not bad layout,so ur not stuck in 1 place all evening, u can walk around and meet diff/new peeps.. 2 DJs was good, very good, and the from the organisers to the bar staff ..all lovley friendly peeps. might ruin a good thing if u move...might not.... all Im saying is yes would be nice to have something up north, but London is IT....THAT BAR IS IT.for heavens sake, its the extra time bar..I think the prince parties belong there...

hmm yes but it needs to have character, and diff floors or rooms, plenty of screens, and decent sound quality, reasonable prices, which I dont thinks a problem as Sheffields quite cheap for a city in the areas of food , drink and rooms...hmmm theres a place in Doncaster , new ,very stylish venue, called Lounge, the owner in a P fan, he was well in2 the idea when I spoke to him, now thats a v v swish place, and I think we could get very reasonable price , if not for free.. hmm, anything is possible, u just have to want it so badly.. dontya think

well you guys could consider the lake district you know.we have a few good size venues here, my brother in law throws insomnia dance events at the local institute(kind of a social club type place) and they are always really good, you hire the place for the night supply your own bar and doormen (i could help with getting a bar set up) it isn't too expensive i can get you a price, it has 3 different rooms and grounds outside.plenty of cheap b&bs and hotels easy access on the train, nice countryside to explore through the day what more do you want?
