NYC Prince Movie Marathon 10/24 Announcement Join NPNY to celebrate 25+ years of amazing music, stories & images with our first Prince movie marathon!!!
NPNY Prince Movie Marathon Date: Sunday October 24th 1pm-6pm Location: Screening Room at Makor 35 West 67th Street between Central Park West & Columbus Avenue Cost: $30.00 per person donation due by 9/17/04 to pay for the movie license and room rental. Make your donation here: http://www.npny.org/movie/ We need AT LEAST 35 people to pay by 9/17 in order for this event to happen. After that, we can accept payment via PayPal or at the door. If we do not meet the quota, the event will be cancelled and your money returned. Bring your own popcorn & soda (no alcohol please). would it have been possible to do this on a smaller and cheaper scale? i don't have a credit card, so paypal isn't really an option for me. | |

You could rent your average dive bar (with big TV screens out) out for a few hundred an hour and get one PRINCE movie in.... Let the rain come down...17 days.... | |

We also had to pay $125 to license each movie we were going to watch (especially with everything going on these last few days, we had to be careful with this!). Just turned out to be too expensive. HOWEVER, do not fret! We have karaoke parties coming in October (weekend of Oct 9/10) and November (11/20), and I'll be planning some other small-scale events before the holidays (movies, bowling, dancing, etc.).
