the abbotsford is where abbie stayed the last time, i think it was £25 a nite, no ensuite bathroom tho, and they only take cash, but it's a nice enuff place, and fraoch was where ian (ex org moderator) stayed, i think £35 a nite.

there r plenty of B&B's in edinburgh near the meetup venue, www.yell.co.uk checkout edinburgh and look 4 places in either pilrig street or macdonald road, as they r within walking distance from the city centre (maybe 15-20 mins slow walk from the bus station or train station, abbotsford maybe 25 mins walk), but a taxi would b less than £5, or u can get the 11 bus, or any bus down leith and walk along

u should get a place easily 4 £40 or less, its off season, and i don't know of any dodgy places in the locality.

give those places a phone and c what the deal is, and if u need more help or info, post here or orgnote me

if u need anymore help with anything, post here or orgnote me. the st andrews square bus station is a stones throw from waverley train station, both of which r litereally about 2 minutes walk from bar pivot, and about 20 mins walk 2 macdonald road or pilrig street where there r loads of b&b's and it's a decent area

i dj at the dawn experience prince nites, and have been 2 a couple of the london meetups b4 the parties, they r getting a good group 2gether, but only after a few months of regular meets and advertising. maybe we can get this 2 a more regular meet say every couple of months or quarter or something. if we can get something good going, then npgmc might give us some dvd's 2 show of concerts

we had a good laugh the last time, i'm sure we can improve on things tho, there will b some ppl the last time who cant make it, but we've bumped the numbers up again with a few new folks. if we can get a decent number of folks coming we can maybe get something organised in future where we get part of a venue 2 ourselves where we can play music and videos

the choosen venue is a nice place, and its very convenient and easy 2 get 2, practically all the buses in town go within 5 mins walk of there, and its 5 mins from the bus station and train station, and there r plenty of cheap places 2 stay within walking distance, plenty places 2 get food nearby, and plenty of shops

if some of u want 2 meet up earlier, there is the Q bar or whatever its called just around the corner, across from the st james centre, it has happy hours etc and cheap food, it could b another alternative venue, but at nites it gets a bit busy with the kinda folks who have only legally been allowed 2 drink 4 a few months, but its cool in the afternoons

I was thinking that because there maybe people from afar coming to this night out, that its changed to a day & night out, only so people can get the benefit of their travel time and get to take in some of Edinburgh's highlights before it gets dark. Us people who are familiar with Edinburgh could " show em around "

anyone needing a tour guide for the day let me know.

IM AFRAID I AM NOW DOING A GIG AT PARTICK BOWLING CLUB IN GLASGOW ON SATURDAY 30TH....I WOULD LOVE TO BE THERE BUT I CANT BE IN 2 PLACES, ITS A PITY .....SORRY FELLOW ORGERS.
