Thank you for putting it together! It was a bit of a drive but was so worth it! We'd never been to a Prince party before and it was a perfect way to end the tour! We had a wonderful time jammin to P and The Time all nite! Til the next one...

I'm so sorry I didn't make it! I was in my zombie mode sleeping away half waking up and thinking "I got to go to that party..." Just too much bouncing around in Oakland Thursday night I guess.

The party was off the hook! People didn't start getting there til round 10. So much decor to put up! we were still at it at 10. I didn't get that many pics...but it really looked awesome. I think that's the most decor I have seen so far. There was even a point when there were 2 Doves Cry faces next to each other. Some of the syncronicity was amazing.

What was weird was figuring out what the crowd wanted. I played more obscure stuff than the other dj. I remember I finally had them going and the song to lock it in was NORTHSIDE...not a favorite of mine, but fit well in the set. It was the key to set them free. And a Big Shout to Damon the other DJ who made most of those mixes at home (dance version of Free and a PR/DMSR mash up HOT!!!!). People ate him up with a purple spoon. I wasn't expecting a set like his.

All in total about 150 people. I got some really great compliments on the night. Don't know if I'll do another one (Bobby usually throws them)...but I hoppe to be involved in the next one. Though I did like to smaller venue we had as opposed to a bigger one.

if you had that many people turn up it had to have been a great event....besides, diversity is a great thing.....some people might not like kicking it at one groups' party and vice versa...

sure she does too. funny thing was she kept asking me about my party and coming down to help etc. But when I called her, we both realized she was going to the Show the same night...and couldn't come down as planned.

The night was actually very cool. I was very nervous about it all (esp cuz P was in town...ubt that was the point)...but it turned out pretty good. I may do another one...I'll have to see. I think the Bar thought it was a good night...so there is the chance of repeating in the future...Prince or whatever. I think I proved myself.
