Hello everyone! Sorry about the late info, school and life have had me busy. Last week I went to the Usana Amphitheater venue to scope the place out. I found a REALLY great looking bbq place not too far from the venue which I thought would be a nice place for a meet up, for those of you who are interested.

First of all, let me give you some general information, anyone more familiar with the Usana venue, please feel free to update or correct this information. I did not get to talk to a real live person at the venue, so my info is from signs posted there.

Anyway...here goes...

The venue had signs posted that stated the will call tickets could be picked up from 10 am - 9 pm the day of the event. There are 10 ticket window. 1 handicap access window, 4 will call windows and 5 regular ticket windows. The website mentioned special parking for $ 10. If I saw correctly, it is a valet type deal, so if you use it, you won't be able to tailgate at your car before the show.

It does appear the venue is okay with tailgating, but alcohol is prohibited in the parking lot (but they don't call Utah the land of the mini-bottle for nothing). The parking lot is gravel, but should be dry as it's not expected to rain much prior to the show. You are not allowed to take lawn chairs, coolers or containers into the venue. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.

So far the forecast for the show (and before anyone says ANYTHING, this is an outdoor venue, so weather is a factor), is 98 degrees during the day and 58 degrees at night (temps are F). For the past week it's been real fall-like weather, but it has been chilly once the sun goes down. Clear skies are forcasted for the entire day. Should be a really beautiful night.

There is a little burger place right by the turn off to the venue. It's called AB's Drive In and it's at approx 5600 West 4400 South. Looks really good. It's a little burger and fries place. Has hotdogs, chili fries, shakes and fish. But it's pretty small for a meet up.

Okay, now for the meet up. The place for the meet up is Q4U, it isn't much to look at, but the food looked GREAT. It's a bbq place located at 4800 West 4655 South. I won't be able to get there until 6pm. I've never planned a meet up before, and really don't feel like I'm planning one now. I just scoped out the area. This looked like a great place to eat a good meal before the show and I hope to see ya'll there.

Unless you've got reserve seats, you best be at Usana well before 6pm. My wife and I went to the Tug McGoo concert there in July and we got there at 5p and there was already a line to get in for Grass seating. So I know I'll be there about 3:30 or 4 to get a good seat on the lawn.

just got back from the venue and member tickets they said will not be ready tilll one hour before the show.....grrrrr i is not happy

RickJames' ain't wrong. KD and I were just at the venue...as she said, the NPGMC tickets will not be available to pick up until an hour before the show. (That's how it stood as of 2pm)

There were cars already starting to arrive for the lawn seating.

I won't be going to the meet up at Q4U. Plan A was to pick up tickets in the afternoon, go get ready and go to meet up. That's been squashed due to not be able to pick up will call tickets until right before the show.

Plan B is to get ready, go pick up some bbq to go and tailgate it in the parking lot.
