NPNY: Purple Rain Weekend @ Culture Club NPNY will be participating in Culture Club's "Purple Rain Weekend" April 6th, 2002
"Purple Rain Weekend" is Tribute to Prince with Discount Purple Rain specialty Drinks all weekend long. Cultrue Club www.pollyesthers.com/ 179 Varick Street New York, NY 10014 Hours Thursday: 9pm- Close Friday: 9pm-Close Saturday: 9pm-Close ALL 80'S ALL NIGHT!!! 21+ / Dress code -Casual but neat , no sneakers. Directions The Culture club is located in the West Village/ SOHO. We are located at 179 Varick st ***Between King and Charlton*** Take the 1 or 2 train to Houston. We are One block south of Houston. i sure hope its more happining than fez... i was at the last npny party and it SUCKED !!!
i found only one guy dancing and requesting prince tunes...i asked him where is derek ??? he said he left a while ago. it was like 1;30 on a sat when the club closed at 4 am. its nobodys fault. its just sad that a great idea...aint always so great ! | |

That's cuz I wasn't there! LOL On a serious note, the FEZ thing isn't really a party, but a gathering of a group of us who get together for drinks, a little dancing, and usually good Prince and Prince-related music. This event at Culture Club should be a little more exciting... since it's actually a club (FEZ is a bar), and it's being themed around Purple Rain. (The best NPNY party was the one we went to at Upstairs at Studio 54 when Prince launched the NPGMC last February... that's what we're really about.
