Help me throw a Prince Tribute Party-San Francisco Could be a fans dreams....
Hi, I am throwing a Prince Tribute Party in September and have a place to hold this event. FLyers are done too...andcirculating. The hard part is done. I am looking for a DJ to spin his purple banana and put in the truck! Looking for a DJ that can spin a Prince set for about 2 hrs. Should be a big fan and have dj'd before. You can even play Princely music like Shelia E, Wendy and Lisa, the Time etc. The ideal person I am looking for would be someone to help me out with the party aside from dj'ing. This can include decor, set up, take down, flyering, watching the place while I spin. So this post can garner me a dj only and event planner seperately...but as I said the ideal person will possess both qualities. I will pay for a DJ set...but will pay more if you get involved and help with the night. When replying, please tell me a bit about yourself, history of being a fan, what kind of set you would want to play and how much you wanted to help out with the event. I'll be posting it today...
It should be special..we ar deecking it out (or the plans are at least) pretty nicely...we are doing an all polka dot room and making some cool art to put up.. And I'll be DJing along with someone else. I have had a few people caution me on doing this on the last day of the Tour as Prince may throw an aftershow or party. But I l;ook at it this way...after shows are going to cost a lot and be very limited. And from what I have heard abotu official after parties..I'd rather go to an unofficial one that'll be playing the tunes.
