MPLS Rib-Fest Wednesday July 28th with The Time! Morris Day and The Time will be putting on a free show at Rib Fest on Wednesday July 28th at 8:30pm.  How many Minneapolis orger's will be there? I know I will.

they were at ribfest last year too--i was gonna go, but it was so hot outside that day i ended up stayin home instead.  | |

The food was way overpriced, tho. It was cheaper to drive to Famous Dave's (the winner of the best ribs contest) in Burnsville then it was to eat the ribs there at the Rib-fest. | |

I think the same thing happened with me...if it's decent out this year I'll totally head down EXACT same thing happened with me last year...i had looked forward to it, but bailed at the last minute to stay in the air conditioning at work. oh, and ribs smell like meat. and heat and meat just don't mix. | |

Tonight's the night! The stage is set up, the ribs are cooking, the beer is flowing, and the weather is absolutely beautiful!!! Hope to see/meet some orgers at the show tonight.

Weather must be waaay nicer in downtown Minneapolis than here in the suburb where I am. It's overcast, windy, rainy/drizzly and all around rather ucky. 
I'm still thinking I might go tonight but not if it's actually raining. Hope it clears up a bit. | |

I'm still thinking I might go tonight but not if it's actually raining. Hope it clears up a bit. It did just rain here downtown for about half an hour but it has stopped now. I had every intention of going, but I didn't want to drive all the way up there only to drive back because of a rain cancellation. Maybe next year if they play the Ribfest yet again.  | |
