Is there anyone here in New Orleans? Would love to host/help organize a 20th anniversary Purple Rain celebration. Shout out if you're here! I hope I'm not the only New Orleans fan here, though I admit that I don't meet many down here, strangely enough.

Thanks for your post, Sophia. There are a couple of bars/clubs that I DJ with that are interested, but I hope more hardcore fans are here. I can publicize heavily with a general/non-fan audience, but I wouldn't want our event to turn into some sort of VH1 style 80s nostalgia party. I'll keep in touch. Sometime in August would work. In the meantime, if there's anyone else lurking, speak out. With all the fans at the Superdome for Prince's Essence Fest showdown, I know there must be more here!
