O.K... HERE'S THE DEAL...
We are gonna have the party this year, but it will be on August 13. So instead of a pre-concert gathering, we are makin' this an afterparty of our own… Because of the short notice, we figured that we could network a little, in and around the concert and afterparty, and take a little extra time to properly plan this event. We have such a nice venue that we really want to make the most out of this opportunity... There will be further posts with more details to come, but for now... ATTENTION HOUSTON (and ALL TEXAS) FAMS… There WILL be a Prince party this year. It’s our 10th annual jam and we are treating it as such. We are celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Purple Rain” and this year's “Musicology” tour at Like Minded Individuals 10, on Friday, August 13, from 9 – 1 (or later). This will be going down at Muddie Waters in Silverlake (west Pearland), just 1 mile off 288. It’s very easy to get to, and NOT far from downtown (just 15-20 minutes)… The cover charge will be only $5 with the first beverage FREE. There will be beer and wine available, as well as other refreshments. More than anything, we will be serving up lots of serious sounds for the old school fools and “true funk soldiers”. There will be videos and possibly a karaoke contest with over 40 Prince (and related artists) songs to choose from… Somebody said that Houston was dead and the people were tired. We want to put that mess to rest. The only way to do that is to have the best party yet. Time to step up and show a true desire for a good time. We WILL deliver... GUARANTEED! More info on the way.
