Jshua--another one---5/8/04 Please let me know what you think... Hey Everyone!
This one's called Unfeeling..... http://www.soundclick.com/jshua (click on mp3's) 
I did this one a little while ago in a rushed moment on one of those "night sessions". Originally, I kinda dug the idea of a Zeppelin or Flaming Lips kinda drum sound (which you hear here) with just two mikes on the drums to caputre the ambience but I did re-record the drums properly (and with a lot of rest) 
This is more of an album rock kinda thang that clocks in @ 7:48.... I'm not sure of what I'm gonna do with the middle of the tune...any ideas? as always, Hope you like!

Those harmonies are just beautiful, you have hit on a couple real amazing tracks as of late. The spped you put out music of such depth is really amazing to me. I listened to it a couple times and was really just totally chilled out by the vibe. That middle part, I was kinda thinking some Stevie Wonder type keys or maybe some repeating vocalesque thing. You have the guitar in the right place on it already so I don't know if a solo would enhance that part or just put too much guitar energy on it. The track is stunning. Hey Kevlar! Cool! Thanx for the input! I was thinking about doing something that Prince and Zappa have done in the past, which would be to augment the new drum solo that I have with various licks and ambient soundscapes. I think a vocalesque or keyboard inspired passage would be really nice right there! Can't wait to hear your new stuff!

Jshua U and Electric Purple really should duet or something because u guys almost sound alike in this jam. Is that gonna be an albuum cut 2? This sounds like it can be a closer for disc one or 2 maybe? What should u do in the middle? Guitar definitley! Something sad and haunting....uh oh...u already answered that! I SPOKE 2 EARLY!!! LOL!
