Studio headphone recommendations anyone?

I need to replace my studio headphones quick! I've run into problems where I've mixed my stuff thru the headphones only to have it sound like crap thru the monitors. The ones I have now were pretty accurate but I've had them a while and they're not manufactured anymore. I'm calling upon the help of my fellow musicians! Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Koss KTX-Pro (Titanium Pro 35 at Radio Shack) have been my favorite headphones for 5 years now, hands down, the best, flattest response, (so no boosted bass or extra highs that would color the mix). They've changed the design recently, at Radio Shack, at least, so they don't fit my huge melon, and I'm still wearing a pair with the pads practically falling off.

Rated the best phones under $50. Radio Shack USED to sell them for $20. But they changed the design, (for pin heads, apparently) and doubled the price. I haven't tried a pair of Koss's brand, but they're supposedly the exact same phones.

BUT.

If you're looking for something of better quality, I just bought a pair of Grado SR60s, rated as the BEST pair of headphones for less than $100.

I have to say, after reading all the hype, I'm a little let down. They DO boost the bass slightly, resulting in an off-color mix... but then again, maybe the Radio Shack Titanium Pro 35's had the bess decreased too much? Who knows. They're great phones, I mean GREAT phones, very clear - I'm hearing stuff on songs that I never heard before... just not too thrilled about the bass thing.

You've passed this info on before but I needed it today (headphones died this weekend).

Thanks Otan
