Op.Sytem.What preference 4 ur Art?

I,d like some feedback on what Operating system U use, and how user friendly U find it 4 what U R trying 2 achieve? At the moment I'm using a Pentium 3 with Win 98.My ex Wife got the Packard Bell Pent. 4 with Win. Xp, after our seperation.Obviously I'd rather have the P.B.Pent 4, but i'm getting by with My IBM 450Mhz, kind of.It's pretty limiting actually. For Music i have 2 use older programmes which were designed 4 '98...., But i also find windows XP on the 1.2Ghz machine a handful as my 10 year old son & his mother do not do good 'house keeping' in so far as virus cleaning and system maintenance. We're all good friends even though 'the family is split now, and i often go over to visit, but find i'm always on their machine with XP debugging the system. My son uses the computer 4 Games mainly , and has a seperate 'user' eek Partitioning set up.His settings are constantly conflicting with his mothers, who uses the 1.2Ghz, 256 Meg sdram , 20 Gig hdd Packard Bell 4 word processing & 'office applications'.To wrap up is Windows XP a Good Platform, or a complex unfriendly monster? I haven't had the opportunity 2 use it when set up well.

Mac G4! Never had a problem 2yrs running. footnote*

Most viruses are purposely designed to attack MS. They want to kick the bully in the balls.
I have never had a virus problem with my MAC. You should still use VS though.
