Finally - an actual recording of my new band!

Ok, so we need some kind of demo to give to the bar owners that may want us to play there. Here's what we did. We recorded a couple of the sets of the last two shows - on cassette! Steve, lead guitar, owner of all the cool equipment, put the cassette contents on his computer and made me some CD's of the shows. From the tracks that we recorded we took various snippets and put them together as a medley/collage type of deal with a bit o' effects at the end.

I've posted it on my Soundclick page as "Groove Clinic Demo." Remember it was done from the soundboard to cassette to this. Feel free to post thoughts, concerns, questions, etc. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks!

Musicology? Boogie Shoes? My Prerogative? Superfreak? You guys sound great. And now you're going to have me walking around all day saying "I'm Rick James, Bitch" I had just about gotten over that phrase.

Thanks, Psychosoul! If you only knew half the dumb shit that I say up on stage you'd crack up. That reminds me, I was going to say, "I'm Rick James, bitch" last time we played, but the drummer was giving shout outs to the bar's dart team. Hahaha.

Thanks for the feedback, but I'm not really sure what you mean about "Prince overtones" in my vocals. Is there any way you could give me an example?? Thanks again.

Michael,

Thanks for trying to explain it better to me. I appreciate any constructive criticism that I get. I hope I get to hear your shit, too, someday. Thanks again, bro.
