My new band - tonight's setlist - your thoughts... Just wanted to hear what you guys think about these covers that we're doing at our gig tonight. Here's the setlist:
SET 1 New York, NY - Ryan Adams Melt with you - modern english squeezebox - who centerfold - j. geils maneater - H & O just what I needed - cars stacy's mom - FOW clocks - coldplay jenny - tommy tutone breakup song - greg kihn don't do me like that - tom petty SET 2 i believe in a thing called love - darkness are you gonna be my girl? - jet buddy holly - weezer hey ya into superfreak oh what a night - fs boogie shoes kiss - prince wishing well - ttd my prerogative - bobby brown what i like about you - romantics tainted love - soft cell roadhouse blues SET 3 musicology - prince brick house 7 nation army - white stripes harder to breathe - maroon 5 jumpin' jack flash - stones bad moon risin' - ccr life on a chain - pete yorn stuck in the middle - sw yellow - coldplay wicked game - c isaak stand by me Any thoughts? Just got back from the gig. I'm tired as a mf, but it went very well. We did record a bit onto a cassette tape through the board. If the other dude can make that into a CD I'll rip and post on Soundclick or somewhere. Of course we didn't really have anybody out there running sound that knew what they were doing so the levels are a bit skewed. We were asked to play a few repeats later on - musicology and oh what a night. We also did a bit of Family Tradition by Hank Jr. just because there was a feeling that the people in front of us would like it. They did. They shouted out the words and shit. It was cool, but I hate tearing down and packing up again. | |
