This is true for my strat as well. I actually have a humbucker by the bridge, though. I mostly use the three settings closest to the bridge. For some reason I don't like the second from the neck. Check this song out at:

Kinman Blues/Warm (stacked humbuckers) pickups, my friend. No noise and plenty of JH/SRV sounds. I use them in my ash-maple strat. The bomb. | |
