85 era Prince... all the way. Would've fit very nicely on Around the World in a Day or among the outtakes of that year.

This is really fun to listen to. This style pre-dates price. I hear more of the beatles, Yardbirds etc..., but the vox and Guitar work would definatly make P proud. Its still original though. Doesnt sound likea carbon copy of anything they recorded. Cool stuff.

My views are a bit different from some of the others. I always tend to look for originality in songwriting and perfoming and "Lovely" is just that. I love Crush and Edge. Yes, I hear the Prince influences in your music and I also hear Steve Vai's influence as well. If that's what you are going for, great but what I hear mostly in your music is a developing songwriter/performer that is going to be a force. Sometimes we admire established artist so much that we tend to sound like them but once we find out who WE are, all kinds of doors open. Then, the artist that we once admired (and in some cases sounded like) don't seem so interesting anymore. We still like them but we like ourselves better.
