I wrote this a while back, and I'm re-recording it for demoes for the rock band. But it's funky, once you get past the odd time signature (7/8).

I don't think the lyrics are heavy-handed with the message, but the title is. I almost didn't want to listen when I read the title. I think it would be more effective to change the title and let people figure out what the song is about. I don't have any ideas for the title though...

Little late to the tune that the thread was started for but...

It's the time that helps make it Soundgardenish and that bass groove too. Whatever.

I love it. Great mix, sound quality and song.

Then this tune "Behind Bars", cool groove, great sound. What have you changed besides the mic on the guitars? Maybe it 's because those are real drums with little effects on the guitar, I don't know but I really like it in this song.

Then this "Hellandectasy" tune, I know I've listened to it before and I wasn't feeling it but it has grown on me a little. Primarily the chorus (or the verse, whatever the main change is) is what has stuck with me.

So the Blind Slim stuff is from a few years ago? "World Spins way to fast" isn't familiar but again, really cool.

Vina - the title almost means nothing to me - I haven't really given it much thought, and, after reading your post, I thought about some other titles, and I'm just too lazy to change it. Maybe I'll name it "vina sez I should call this something else". yep. it's been one of those days.

As always slave, thanks for the props. Right now I'm in the middle of wrestling with which way to go. I got the rhythm section from Blind Slim calling me dying to do something, I'm jamming with the superheavy stuff, and I'm still thinking about lining up the funk band. I should really make a decision and not look back, but it's really hard. The heavy band ain't interested in the fun stuff, the funk band doesn't understand blues, and the blues/funk band doesn't want to rehearse.

I just cant get everything I want, damnit.

I listened to this the other day and forgot to comment. I think this is by far the most interesting composition you've ever done. Timing of the rhythm, the lyrics and vocally... this is truly a standout.

honestly...the beat is a little 2 off...like Timbaland when I first heard his beats "One In A Million" i was like what the fuck is happening 2 the beat? Then after a while i got it and it was damn funky!


Anyway..This is an interesting tune...it sounds personal and can be a dark song..but the guitar and strange beat take that away. Very sad song...i would like the lyrics. very innovative...the beat is just 2 off though.
